Always difficult to tell without the beast in the hand but, from the tail length, it looks like a Pygmy - i.e. tail length at least 2/3 body length. Common's tail is ca.1/2 body length... but the tail in this specimen appears equal to body length, which might suggest a juvenile, but I'd still err on it being a Pygmy, as it does have quite a pointed snout, *small eyes (*always thought that a bit vague!) and, small ears...
