Warburg Reserve, Bix. Friday 30th August 2019

Bullfinch - juvenile male.
Willow Warbler
Small Heath Butterfly

No idea on the name of this plant growing in the nature reserve
meadow all alone. Rose type leaves and thorns with pom pom type flower head.
Approx 12cms in height.

    This is called robin’s pincushion as is caused by the larva of a gall wasp distorting the growth of a rose bud.
