Radley Terrapin

Saw this down at Radley Gravel Pits the other day! A bit exotic for Oxfordshire isn't it ? . Is this a recent escapee or are they now living wild all year round in the UK ?

  1. Hi Andrew,
    Great photo.
I think its a Red-eared Terrapin and this or another individual has been in Thrupp Lake for several years now.
Unfortunately for our native wildlife they are not that uncommon.
